In honor of #GivingTuesday, we’re giving you a behind-the-scenes look at how BLINQ organized a Give Back Box donation drive, and how you can too — any day of the year.
To kick off the giving season, we teamed up with our partner, Give Back Box, to collect donations from across the BLINQ team. Over the course of a week, we internally promoted the donation drive and piled up donations in our kitchen for everyone to see. From there, we grabbed boxes we already had, easily printed out free shipping labels, and came together to pack up the 400+ items that our employees brought in. Stuffed full of clothing, books, and housewares, eight large boxes were routed for donation through Give Back Box just in time for #GivingTuesday.
Rebecca S. from our design team was thrilled at how simple the donation process was, from packing up items, printing a free shipping label, to mailing it out, “It even saves me a trip to Goodwill!”
Most of all, it reminds us of why BLINQ’s mission to reduce retail waste and promote a smarter way to shop doesn’t stop with a purchase. Every BLINQ box is an opportunity to further extend the lifecycle of everyday items.
